A man found guilty of murder of a Sydney factory worker
On February 21, 2013, Lance Hargreaves, 62, suffered from a stab wound to his neck, was found lying in a pool of blood at a waste management plant in St Marys, Sydney's west.
Gordon Reginald Cramp, 38, who was a former worker at the plant, was later charged with Lance's murder and was found guilty on October 29, 2014.
During the trial, the court heard Cramp had lost his job at the plant in November 2012 after failing to show up to work.
On the night of the murder, Cramp briefly went back to the factory and spoke to Mr Hargreaves.
Mr Hargreaves told a co-worker he could not understand Cramp because "he was raving on about something" and kept saying "you owe me big time".
It was mentioned to the court that Cramp had taken the drug methamphetamine prior committing the murder and had cut the CCTV cable at the site.
This was not the first time Cramp has been involved in stabbing case, on June 14, 2002, he stabbed Phillip Buckley, a co-worker, whom he believed had interfered in the breakdown of his relationship.
Cramp will return to court for sentencing for the murder of Mr Hargreaves later this year.
